Many-particle based evaluations for maximum current output from bimodal electron emitter arrays

چکیده

Evaluations of the current output from emitter arrays have been carried out based on time-dependent kinetic simulations that include many-body Coulombic contributions electron swarm, geometric field enhancements with shielding a line charge model, and dynamic screening due to evolution swarm in position velocity space. Numerical evaluations are applied different multi-emitter array arrangements having hexagonal lattice, focus bimodal distributions. Our results show expected role reductions separation positional dependence within connectivity. Different patterns were examined lattice structure. For distribution, optimization is shown for alternating three or more successive emitters same length along primitive axes predicted an advantage.

Multiplexing and scaling-down of nanostructured photon-triggered silicon field emitter arrays for maximum total electron yield.

Femtosecond ultrabright cathodes with spatially structured emission are a critical technology for applications such as free-electron lasers, tabletop coherent x-ray sources, and ultrafast imaging. In this work, the optimization of the total electron yield of ultrafast photon-triggered field emission cathodes composed of arrays of nanosharp, high-aspect-ratio, single-crystal silicon pillars is e...

Multinozzle emitter arrays for nanoelectrospray mass spectrometry.

Mass spectrometry (MS) is the enabling technology for proteomics and metabolomics. However, dramatic improvements in both sensitivity and throughput are still required to achieve routine MS-based single cell proteomics and metabolomics. Here, we report the silicon-based monolithic multinozzle emitter array (MEA) and demonstrate its proof-of-principle applications in high-sensitivity and high-th...

III-nitride micro-emitter arrays

III-nitride micro-emitter array technology was developed in the authors’ laboratory around 1999. Since its inception, much progress has been made by several groups and the technology has led to the invention of several novel devices. This paper provides an overview on recent progress in single-chip ac-micro-size light emitting diodes (μLEDs) that can be plugged directly into standard high ac vo...

Output from a Josephson stimulated terahertz amplified radiation emitter.

The angular dependence of the radiation-zone output power and electric polarization of stimulated terahertz amplified radiation (STAR) emitted from a dc voltage applied across cylindrical and rectangular stacks of intrinsic Josephson junctions is calculated. The boundary conditions are obtained from Love's equivalence principles. During coherent emission, a spatially uniform ac Josephson curren...
